MATARAZZO restaurant is a tribute to family, work, effort and the courage of entrepreneurs, who fight for their dreams everyday. An Italian cuisine restaurant with a simple menu that highlights pizza and seasonal flavors.

Story

the matarazzo family

A story that begins in 1881, when two of the nine siblings, Francesco and Costabile Matarazzo, both at the age of 19 travel from their native home of Castellabate (Italy) to South America, seeking a better future.
At the start of the 20th century facing many setbacks, with only four mules and a kilo of lard, they finally managed to build their small business empire. Francesco settled in Brazil, while Costabile decided to continue his life in Argentina.

Costabile, with his great entrepreneurial spirit, developed a toy factory and today the toys are sold as authentic relics. His success in the industry was overwhelming, but something was missing. He could not find the flavor of his home, he wanted to relive the moments in Italy… Read more

We tried to envision all the immigrants of the 1800s and their sacrifice for a better future. Moving away from their families, embarking on a journey into the unknown and working in sun and shade for a better life. The uncertainty of those times and his courage to bet on new lands deserve to be valued by us, his descendants.

Without a doubt, they are part of our history and our example to follow.

the taste of homemade

Our pizzas have a base that has fermented for three days, achieving a hydration of 80% that facilitates a lighter digestion. It is made with sourdough and we use rice flour to achieve a more crispiness. In addition, our branch tomato sauce is homemade and we only use extra virgin olive oil.

Sea bass, tiger milk, red onion, sweet potato, mini colored peppers, aji limo, tomato sauce and Mozzarella cheese.

THE GAMBONNERA

Marinated and smoked prawns, tomato sauce, Italian sundried tomato in olive oil, Figueras onion confit with squid sauce, roasted garlic aioli and Mozzarella cheese.
